This is a pencil drawing of Tech Tower a top The Academic Building,
now known as the Administrative Building, is the first building to be
constructed on the Georgia Tech Campus. The school officially opens
on October 8, 1888 with 129 students enrolling. Dr. Isaac Stiles Hopkins
becomes the first president of the school. A Bachelor of Science in
Mechanical Engineering was the only degree offered. The Administrative
Building with Tech Tower a top is the historical heart of the GA Tech
Campus and is a landmark recognized by Georgia Tech Students, Staff,
Alumni and the greater Atlanta Community.
The Georgia
Tech Tower image is printed portrait on a 11”x 17” sheet
of off white heavy paper stock in a dark sepia ink. The actual image
size is 9.5”x 11.5” centered portrait on the heavy stock.
