This
is a stipple drawing of The Hardy Memorial Tower on the SDSU Campus,
which was named after Edward Hardy, who became president of the campus
in1910 and was once used as an actual water tower. Today, it is recognized
as SDSU's most significant physical landmark and an important University
symbol to the greater San Diego community. Hardy Memorial Tower houses
the Fletcher Symphonic Carillon, a digital chronobell 50-bell symphonic
carillon with a computer memory system. When you hear those beautiful
chimes on the SDSU Campus this is where they are coming from.
The Hardy Memorial Tower image is printed portrait on a 11”x 17” sheet of off white heavy paper stock in a dark sepia ink. The actual image size is 12”x 9” centered portrait on the heavy stock. There are only 1,000 of these reproductions available and each print is titled, numbered and signed by the artist, Ron Clowney |
